Greater Manchester, Lancashire May 7, 2022 (Issuewire.com) - Bolton resident Julie Robinson has just celebrated winning a Gratitude Award at the Star Positive Awards 2022 in Liverpool. The Eagley Nursery school owner who has worked with children for 30 years has dedicated her life to helping youngsters and is grateful for the support she has been able to offer them. Julie decided to set up a children's nursery because she taught 14 to 19-year-olds.  She noticed that many children seemed to get missed in the education system, they had dyslexia or dyspraxia or ADHD and she felt saddened that if they had had early intervention they would have achieved greater having had to support.

As a  role of an early years educator, her job is a specialist who looks after the mental, social, emotional, and educational development of babies and young children up to the age of five years old. An Early Years Practitioner may be involved with Early intervention, and assessment embedding the curriculum for Early years. Safeguarding, working with other professionals, and writing Early Helps and Education and Health Care Plans are just a few of the roles involved.

Together with her friend, Mandy Worsley, a qualified paediatric nurse, they set up Mini Minds Matter at the beginning of 2021. Mandy has over 25 years of experience as a nurse.  She has worked in schools and learned about the neurology of the brain. Paediatric nursing is part of the nursing profession, specifically revolving around the care of neonates and children up to adolescence. Mandy is also a qualified Relax Kids Coach.

Julie says, "In 2003 I set up my first nursery, Eagley school house nursery in Bromley cross.  I also escaped an abusive relationship and focused my energies on making a difference for children. In 2012 I expanded and opened my second settling in Egerton Bolton.  Both nurseries are now outstanding. I strive to be the best and offer the best education and care for children, with a particular focus on children with additional needs.

Julie said, "I decided to set up Mini Minds after seeing a huge decline in children's mental health and well-being.  Nothing prepared me for what COVID 19 brought.  My introduction of Wellassaurus In the nursery to teach children how to keep well during Covid, led to the launch of mini minds.  We employ our own well-being coach who supports our families and staff even further. Approaching Mandy was the right thing, bringing education and well-being together. Two well-qualified specialists bring knowledge and experience together to design the very best approach.

It's been amazing seeing Mini minds grow as part of the Nursery.  We have expanded into over 20 settings. We have connected with Hopeful handbags in Florida and use the Mini Minds approach for families escaping Domestic Violence.  We are now using the approach In Fort Alice woman's refuge in Greater Manchester.  Our parent's partnership has evolved, as they support well-being at home as well as in the nursery. It also impacts parents too as they use the approach themselves. "
