An off-duty principal ambulanceman has died and another has been injured following an abseiling accident at Kowloon Peak, also known as Fei Ngo Shan. The Fire Services Department (FSD) on Friday said it was alerted at around 2pm that a man had fallen off a cliff while abseiling near Fei Ngo Shan Road. Rescue personnel searched the area and found one conscious man with minor injuries near a hiking trail on the southwest slope of Kowloon Peak, while his companion was discovered unconscious on a nearby cliff. Both men were airlifted to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, where the unconscious man was later declared dead.
