Sharing Services Global Corporation (OTCQB: SHRG), since the December 2017 launch of products through its Elepreneur LLC and Elevacity Global LLC subsidiaries, has recorded cumulative sales of more than $94 million. SHRG CEO John ‘JT’ Thatch credits the record sales numbers to the impressive performance of the company’s “highly talented” Elepreneurs, as they are successfully executing on a mission to change the direct-selling industry with best-in-class products and services (http://nnw.fm/9sNVj).

SHRG reported record sales of $85.9 million for its fiscal year ended April 30, 2019, in its SEC 10K filing (http://nnw.fm/H3rwX). These numbers represent a nine-fold increase, or a $77.5 million jump, from the company’s revenues of $8.4 million in FY2018. SHRG is focused on continuing its international expansion plans during the remainder of 2019, Thatch noted.

“Our 2019 revenues are continued proof that our Blue Ocean Strategy is being implemented and accepted in the direct-selling marketplace,” Thatch stated in a news release. “We continue at a record-breaking pace as our dedicated and highly talented Elepreneurs continue to execute on the mission to change the direct-selling industry with best-in-class products and services.”

Thatch also noted that, over the past 16 months, Elevacity Global has consistently increased its sales of health and wellness products. Since the product launch in late 2017, SHRG has supported its expansion program with several initiatives, such as establishing a new corporate headquarters to accommodate growth, adding experienced industry talent and pursuing global expansion plans.

SHRG is a Plano, Texas-based diversified holdings company that owns, operates or controls a variety of companies engaged in direct selling through independent sales contractors. SHRG divisions include Elevacity Global LLC and Elepreneur LLC.

Japan's exports fell in July for 8th straight month

Aug 19, 2019

TOKYO — Japan's exports fell for the eighth straight month in July as worries continued about President Donald Trump's trade policies denting Asian economic growth. Ministry of Finance data released Monday showed exports and imports fell in July, compared to the same month a year ago. Exports fell 1.6%, while imports slid 1.2%, resulting in a trade deficit of 249.6 billion yen ($2.35 billion). Global markets have been in turmoil because of Trump's trade war with China. A slowdown in China is certain to hurt other regional economies, including Japan's. Japan's exports to China in July fell 9.3% while its...

Cathay Pacific CEO resigns after Beijing pressure

Aug 19, 2019

HONG KONG — The CEO of Cathay Pacific Airways, one of Hong Kong's most prominent companies, resigned Friday following pressure by Beijing on the carrier over participation by some of its employees in anti-government protests. Rupert Hogg became the highest-profile corporate casualty of official Chinese pressure on foreign and Hong Kong companies to support the ruling Communist Party's position against the protesters. Beijing jolted companies last week when it warned Cathay Pacific employees who "support or take part in illegal protests" would be barred from flying to or over the mainland. Cathay Pacific said a pilot who was charged with...

Can Tokyo's efficient rail system handle Olympic strain?

Aug 19, 2019

TOKYO — First, Tokyo Olympic fans will have to find scarce tickets and pay the price. Then there's the quandary of landing a hotel room with rates that are being inflated due to unprecedented demand. And the summer heat and humidity will be off-putting for some. Then there's one more hurdle: getting around, or even finding a tiny space to stand on Tokyo's famously efficient but over-stressed rail system. Japanese professor Azuma Taguchi at Chuo University has researched Tokyo's system for years and says it's already running at double its capacity and the Olympic crunch could push it to the...

China threatens retaliation if US tariff hikes go ahead

Aug 19, 2019

BEIJING — China on Thursday threatened retaliation if Washington steps up their war over trade and technology by going ahead with planned Sept. 1 tariff hikes on additional Chinese imports. Beijing will take unspecified "necessary countermeasures," the Cabinet said in a one-sentence statement. It gave no details or any indication plans for trade talks in Washington in September might be affected. The mounting tension has unnerved financial markets that worry the global economy will tip into recession. President Donald Trump says he plans to impose 10% duties on an additional $300 billion of Chinese imports, extending penalties to almost everything...
